Councillors to supervise hospital equipment

Ministry of Health has urged councilors to start monitoring equipment at government hospitals.

Chief Director in the Ministry Chimwemwe Banda made the remarks in Karonga district after receiving complaints that some health workers destroy deliberately the equipment at government hospitals.

“Well wishers have told me that health workers do that in order to force patients to access medication at private clinics,” disclosed Banda.

According to her Ministry of Health will deal with anyone doing the malpractice.
