Conserve environment: says Mutharika

State president Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika has asked Malawians to conserve and protect the environment.

He was speaking in Lilongwe during the Commemoration of World Environment Day, launch of National Climate Week and launch of ecosystem based adaptation for food security assembly EBAFOSA.

“It is time to reflect on how human activity has negatively affected the environment in order to reverse the trend,” said Mutharika.

According to Mutharika, EBAFOSA initiative will increase community participation in environmental conservation and community resilience to promote food security.
