Blantyre City Council BCC has said will close businesses if their owners fail to pay the rates
Mayor for the council Isaac Jomo Osman has said this during a press briefing in Blantyre
Osman said will not tolerate businesspeople who rely on politicians not to pay the tax
“The traders owe the council K8 billion which they have not paid as tax this year,” Osman says
On 1st December the mayor for Blantyre city council gave an ultimatum of 21 days to all business people to pay as tax
