ACB investigations find state house chief of staff received Benz from Zuneth Sattar
Ant corruption bureau’s investigations have found that state house chief of staff Prince Kapondamgaga received a Mercedes Benz and other gifts from Zuneth Sattar who had been allegedly bribing senior public officers
According to the bureau Kapondamgaga voluntarily gave a statement to ACB, signed a restitution agreement with the bureau and surrendered the mercedes Benz S Class 350D
Principal public relations officer Egrita Ndala says after a review of the evidence against Kapondamgaga in this case evaluation of the information he provided in respect of the broader investigations relating to Zuneth Sattar and the restitution agreement he has voluntarily entered with the bureau
Ndala says a prosecutorial discretion has been exercised not to pay criminal charges against Kapondamgaga
Accordingly the bureau has completed and closed the investigations against him
Meanwhile, the bureau has made a strong recommendation to office of president and cabinet to immediately review Malawi public service regulations in accordance with presidential directive of 21st June last year.
