Senior chief Mtwalo appears in court for assaulting police officer

Senior chief Mtwalo of Mzimba is appearing before court for allegedly beating up senior police officer

On Thursday morning he appeared before Mzuzu resident magistrate court which adjourned the case to afternoon

Principal resident magistrate Paul Chiotcha adjourned it following an objection that the accused person has found a lawyer who needed to avail himself in court

Speaking with radio Islam, Mzuzu police spokesperson Paul Tembo said “the chief spent a night in police custody and is answering a charge of assault.”
