IVE Malawi has stressed importance of providing Muslim reverts with Islamic knowledge for them to comprehensively practice the religion of Islam.
The appeal has been made at the end of a three workshop for 70 Muslim women reverts drawn from Mzimba and Rumphi districts in northern region.
In an interview IVE executive director sheikh Dinala Chabulika said the workshop was very vital as Islam encourages all Muslims to seek knowledge.
Sheikh Chabulika said IVE believes that the only way to strengthen and spread Islam is to educate women adding that educating women is like educating a nation.
” IVE will provide sheikhs in their respective masjids to continue training the women for them to know more about Islam,” says Sheikh Chabulika
In their remarks, participants praised IVE for the workshop saying it’s the first of its kind since they reverted to Islam.
Maina Chipeta who is also group village head Ndembera and Ethel Kumwenda therefore requested organisations to conduct such workshops often for them to understand Islam better.
