37 Malawians to attend UNGA
Malawi’s delegation to UN General Assembly UNGA this year consists of 37 people
Minister of foreign Affairs Nancy Tembo responding to questions from the media said the figure is the smallest ever and government is reducing it
Tembo said is not aware of the amount of money to be used for the trip but Ministry of finance is better placed to tell the nation
According to the Foreign affairs Minister the president should attend the meeting in person not virtually despite economic challenges facing Malawi “because it is a very important meeting to the country.”
Also present at the press conference was minister of education Agness Nyalonje who said UNGA will help to get support which will boost e-learning among others
Secretary for health Dr Charles Mwansambo said they will meet Global Fund officials who are supporting Malawi in various issues affecting health sector
