2023 PSLCE, JCE Exams Results Released
Ministry of Education in conjunction with Malawi National Examinations Board MANEB has released results of this year’s primary school leaving certificate and junior certificate of education examinations
Announcing the results Minister of education Madalitso Kambawuwa Wilima said out of 267, 330 candidates who sat for standard 8 examinations 234 644 passed representing 87.77 percent
Wilima said 168 219 wrote the JCE examinations but 122, 219 have passed representing 72. 65 percent
She said the pass rate in PSLCE exams has improved as compared to the 2022 which was 83.24 percent but JCE has declined from 73.07 percent to 72.65 percent
Willima said the top performing district in primary school is Nkhatabay while Likoma in JCE
Some head teachers and owners of school were arrested and jailed especially in Mangochi and Dowa districts for embezzling examination fees
