Unemployed Teachers Satisfied with Ministry’s Meeting
Representatives of Concerned Unemployed Teachers have expressed satisfaction of the meeting with Ministry of Education officials regarding their concerns
Spokesperson of the Group, Blessings Gundadzuwa said the meeting was fruitful and expressed hope that it will bear positive results
Gundadzuwa said on September 15 the Concerned Unemployed Teachers sent a letter to Ministry of Education demanding recruitment all IPTE 13 and 14 qualified teachers.
Principal Secretary for Basic Education, Dr. Rachel Chimbwete Phiri encouraged the group to engage in open dialogues when facing such issues.
Phiri acknowledged that there will be improvement in communication on recruitment process
She said the Ministry has been allocated K8.9 billion in the 2023/2024 budget for the recruitment of primary and secondary school teachers.
