Unemployed Teachers frustrated with Government Recruitment Delays

Over 13, 000 unemployed primary school teachers of IPTE 14 to 17 have expressed frustration with government for failing to recruit them despite repeated assurances

Team leader Ian Mumba stated that the group has held several meetings with government officials but have not received any update regarding the recruitment

Mumba lamented that Minister of finance did not specify how government will recruit civil servants in the 2025 to 2026 national budget

He says the concerned teachers have cancelled their planned demonstrations next week but resolved to exercise their voting power in September by choosing a presidential candidate who will address their plight.
