Two Members of Parliament die

A somber mood has engulfed parliament as it has lost 2 parliamentarians today.

Speaking to radio Islam, parliamentary spokesperson Ian Mwenye has confirmed the death of Member of Parliament for Zomba Changalume Honourable John Chikalimba and Hon Jacqueline Chikuta, Member of Parliament for Ntchisi North.

Mwenye has however refused to disclose the cause of their deaths adding their demise is a huge blow to parliament as they served in important positions.

“Honourable Chikalimba died at Zomba Central hospital while Chikuta at Mtengowanthenga in Mponela, Dowa district,” Mwenye

Chikalimba was MP for People’s Party while Chikuta of the ruling  Malawi Congress Party
