Teacher arrested of pupil abuse

Police at Nselema in Machinga have arrested a teacher at Majiga primary school in the area of senior chief Chiwalo for injuring a standard 3 learner

This follows an image which was circulating on social media showing the injury of the boy.

According to reports gathered, the incident happened on Wednesday 26^th of October 2022.

The suspect Rapheal Chikabwera ordered the student to kneel on a heated surface after the child was found playing in a flower garden at the school.

As a result the boy sustained injuries on his knees.

Meanwhile Nselema Police has warned that will not hesitate to take action on teachers who are still giving corporal punishments to students.
