State President asks chief secretary to government to develop proper protocol on officials accompanying president in public functions
President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has asked chief secretary to government to develop a proper protocol on the number of officials accompanying the president in public functions.
Dr Chakwera has said this during official opening of golden peacock hotel in Blantyre which according to him was attended by an unacceptable number of senior government officials.
Dr Chakwera said tax payer’s money must not be wasted hence such acts must stop.
“Government officials must be in strategic places where they add value to Malawi in making it an attractive place for investors and tourists,” said Chakwera
The president then asked foreign investors to prioritize Malawians on job opportunities.
