South Africa Muslims donate hijabs,education materials to Muslim students in Malawi
In a bid to encourage Muslims students in Mangochi to work hard in their studies Muslims in South Africa have donated hijabs and education materials to them
The materials were presented during the closing of madrassah at Mwanyama masjid in the district
Speaking during the ceremony director of Al-Hakeem orphanage centre Sheikh Abdul Al-Hakeem Issah said they donated the items to motivate young people to take madrassah seriously as it gives the right doctrines of Islam
Sheikh Hakeem encouraged the children to work hard in both Islamic and secular studies for them to have wider knowledge and skills
“The items were donated by a Muslim community based in South Africa chaired by Khairoonisa Vaid,” Sheikh Issah
Sheikh Hakeem further said will continue reaching out to vulnerable people such as those with disabilities
He encouraged parents in the area to send their children to madrassah and school in order to become productive Muslims
In his remarks Sheikh Muhajiri Tamimu of Mwanyama masjid madrassah thanked Al-Hakeem orphanage centre for the initiative saying that will motivate learners
He commended the learners for performing well in their studies saying that gives him courage to deliver more
One of the learners at Mwanyama masjid Hajira Lemani thanked the well wishers for the donation because has motivated her to work extra hard next term
