Several dead in blast at Islamic school in Pakistan

An explosion at Islamic school in Pakistani has killed at least seven people and wounded 70 others, many of them children.

The blast occurred at Speen Jamaat masjid, which also serves as a religious school for local children.

Television footage from the scene of the blast showed significant damage to interior of the masjid’s main prayer hall.

Provincial health minister said the wounded were being treated at Lady Reading Hospital, the city’s main government hospital.

He told reporters that there have been 72 wounded patients brought to the hospital and seven deaths.
