President Chakwera cheers patients at Mangochi District Hospital

President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has cheered patients at Mangochi District Hospital

During the visit Dr Chakwera gave gifts to children at the pediatric ward and mothers with new born babies at maternity wing-post natal wards as one way of celebrating the festival season with them.

After presenting the gifts the president also toured the renovated under 5 OPD clinic which was gutted by fire in 2018.

Speaking during press briefing Dr Chakwera said, “I thought of visiting the patients as a way of giving them hope that with the help they are receiving at the hospital they will get better.”

President Chakwera commended doctors at the hospital for the job well done.
