President Chakwera analyzes candidates for ACB director
President Lazarus Chakwera says is still analyzing names of candidates that were shortlisted for the position of the director gender of the Anti Corruption Bureau ACB.
Briefing Journalists during the state house weekly briefing, state house director of communications Sean Kampondeni said the president received the names and will make the announcement after the analysis.
Kampondeni said the request to expedite prosecution of covid-19 funds abusers is waiting appointment of ACB director.
Taking questions from the media state house press officer Brian Banda said the president has directed the minister of education to address the issue of college of medicine students who are being expelled due to fees.
On the leakage of memos from attorney general’s office, Banda said investigations are underway to get the culprits.
Responding to questions from the media, state house press officer said “president Chakwera respects the decision of the court to re-instate two commissioners of Malawi Electoral Commission whose appointments were cancelled.”
Banda trashed rumors that there are disagreements in the Tonse Alliance government particularly the president and his vice.
He further said the president has directed the minister of education to address the issue of collage of medicine students who are being expelled due to fees.
