Police warns traders on FISP
Following the official launch of the distribution and selling of the subsidized farm inputs, Balaka police station has warned traders in the district that they will bring into book anyone found selling to vendors.
The warning came as the station wants to bring tranquility during the period as far as crime prevention is concerned.
According to Balaka Police Public Relation officer, Precious Makuta, police are currently patrolling all outlets in the district.
Makuta told Radio Islam that having an experience of such malpractice last time, the station wants to alert members of the general public to refrain from such malpractices that may lead them committing crimes.
Makuta therefore advised communities to report to authorities whenever they notice that there is something fishy going on in the area.
He said police will make sure that there is transparency and accountability throughout the exercise.
