Paramount chief Kawinga asks government to act urgently on schools closure in Machinga

Paramount chief Kawinga has asked government to urgently act on the closure of schools in Machinga due to the wrangle over the wearing of Hijab and payment of contractors

Paramount chief Kawinga expressed sadness on the delay by government to take action on the matter when deputy Minister of education Madalitso Kambauwa Willima visited Schools in the district

He told the deputy Minister that the closure of the schools will result into failure of school children in Machinga district

Paramount Chief Kawinga said contractors who were assigned to construct Chirwa, Mwayiwathu and Nsumwa schools are residing in the constructed school blocks because government did not pay them their money.

“I am happy that the deputy Minister has assured people of Machinga that she will deliver the message to relevant authorities who are handling those issues,” Paramount Chief Kawinga

Answering the matter the deputy minister of education said government is aware of the issues and will urgently act n them.
