Over 70 teachers awarded

Over 70 teachers from all education divisions have been awarded prizes worth over 200 million kwacha for their outstanding perfomance.

Deputy Minister of Education Monica Chang’anamuno presented the awards in Blantyre, as the country commemorated International Teachers Day.

Speaking during the ceremony, Chang’anamuno said they decided to award the teachers drawn from all education divisions.

“The awards are a motivation to the teachers to continue working hard,” Chang’anamuno

Among the prizes are cash, tablets, certificates and bicycles.

In her remarks, one of the awardees, Linda Kasambala says the award will motivate her to do more.
