Opposition Political Parties dissatisfied with MEC

Opposition Political Parties say are not satisfied with the response from Malawi Electoral Commission MEC on its demands regarding elections management.

Among others the three political parties namely, DPP, UTM and Afford demands the resignation MEC chairperson and others senior officials for affiliating with the ruling Malawi Congress Party.

However MEC chairperson Anabel Mtalimanja says will not bow down to the demand because all were appointed as per law.

In an interview Democratic Progressive Party DPP Shadrick Namalomba said the response leaves a lot to be desired because it has failed to address their concerns.

Namalomba says leaders of the three parties will advise the public soon on the way forward.
