Muslims asked to restore environment

Muslims in the country have been asked to take an active role in restoring the environment

Director of YIP Building Contractors Yahaya Ishmael Phiri was speaking this during the tree planting exercise at BCA Hill graveyard in Blantyre which was organized by a social media group, Malawi Muslim Website

Phiri said the tree planting exercise will be extended to other areas as the country faces deforestation

|”We will involve the community to make sure that the trees planted are well taken care of,” Phiri

In his remarks Sheikh Omar Mkachelenga advised Muslims in the country to properly use Social media platforms in order to bring an impact to the country

Mkachelenga said Islam has encouraged people to plant trees and support the environment

He commended members of Malawi Muslim Website for the support towards the initiative
