Minister calls on political parties to promote peace in elections

Minister of homeland security has called on all political parties to promote peace as 2025 general elections are fast approaching

Speaking during a press conference in Lilongwe Ken Zikhale Ng’oma promised that his ministry will provide security to all political parties during their rallies in preparation for next year’s elections.

Ng’oma commended Malawi Congress Party and Democratic Progressive Party supporters for maintaining peace during their rallies at Ekwendeni in Mzimba and Katoto in Mzuzu on Saturday.

He criticized people who stoned the convoy of President in Lower Shire adding that Malawi Police service has arrested 6 people in connection to the attack and investigations are ongoing.
