MEC begins by-elections voter registration

Malawi Electoral Commission MEC has commenced voter registration and verification for 23^rd August local government by election.

According to MEC’s director of media and public relations Sangwani Mwaulirwa, the exercise has started on a good note as planned activities in all centers in the three wards are running effectively.

Mwafulirwa says they have enough backup in case of electricity blackouts.

On identity cards the MEC spokesperson, said people should bring their nation identity cards for voter registration even expired ones
