MDI appoints MAM chair, its trustee

The headquarters of Munadhamat Dawa Islamiyyah (MDI) in Qatar has appointed National Chairman of Muslim Association of Malawi (MAM), Sheikh Idrissa Muhammad as one of the trustees of the organization.

According to the letter from President of MDI Dr Abdulrahman Bun Abdullah Al Mahamood, the appointment is due to the role Sheikh Muhammad is playing in uplifting lives of Muslim community in Malawi.

Commenting on the development, Publicity Secretary of MAM, Sheikh Dinala Chabulika, said the appointment is an honour not only to the national chairman but all Muslims in the country.

Sheikh Chabulika further said “this demonstrates that the MAM leader is doing a great job which is being recognized by international communities.”

MDI has been operating schools and charity programs among others in Malawi for many years
