Malawi Traffic Information System to be functional this Week
Ministry of transport and public works has assured the public that Malawi Traffic Information System MALTIS which developed a technical fault will be functional within this week
The Ministry despite the urgency to have the system back within the shortest period technical nature of the problem required more time to resolve than earlier estimated
Secretary for transport and public works engineer David Mzandu says MALTIS at Directorate of Road Traffic and safety services DRTSS developed a technical error on 6th January.
Mzandu says as a consequence DRTSS and its agencies are unable to provide all services that are processed through the system
However he says the ministry and the supplier are working tirelessly to resolve the problem since it was discovered
Ministry of transport has therefore urged all Ministries, departments and agencies responsible for enhancing road traffic laws to act accordingly on the situation
