Majilis Ullamah Council of Malawi Commends Quran Competitions
Majilis Ullamah Council of Malawi has commended Islamic organizations for promoting Quran recitation competitions in the country.
Chairperson for the council, Sheikh Mussa Matola, made the remarks during the grand finals of this year’s King Muhammad the Sixth Foundation Quran competition held in Blantyre.
Sheikh Matola said it is encouraging to note that Islamic organizations are coming up with several competitions aimed at promoting and preserving the Holy Book of Quran.
He however advised those who have made into the international levels to work extra hard so that they put Malawi on the map.
On his part, Publicity Secretary for King Muhammad the Sixth Foundation, Masruru Daudi Abdallah, said is impressed with the stiff competition this year as they have managed to come up with the cream of reciters.
Abdallah further said he believes that those who have made it into the finals will produce wonders this year.
During the competition, Abubakar Idriss imaged the winner in 3 juzu category while Abdulraheem Ismael became a winner in 30 juzu category.
