MACRA reduces internet data prices

Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority MACRA has reduced internet data prices effective tomorrow

In a press release MACRA director general Henry Silika says they have reduced the prices as per directive of Ministry of information

According to Silika the Authority has slashed the prices by 30 percent following an outcry from the consumers regarding high internet data prices

“MACRA engaged mobile network operators to review the current data prices more especially lower volume bundles which are commonly used by the majority,” Silika

Silika also says the telecommunication operators will soon be announcing the price charges to the public
