IZF resumes Secondary School Bursary

Islamic Zakaat Fund IZF has resumed its secondary school bursary 4 years after it stopped.

Izf bursary officer Khalid Chilima in an interview says the decision was reached at after realizing the increase in numbers of Muslim students that are dropping out of secondary school due to lack of necessities.

Chilima says the charity organization has started with 500 students and will be incurring 350 million kwacha per year.

He says IZF is targeting students that are in government national and district secondary schools.

Chilima has therefore urged the beneficiaries to give it their best in order to do better in their studies.
