IERA requests Islamic Organizations to support Muslim reverts

Islamic Education and Research Academy IERA has requested Islamic Organisations to provide Muslim reverts with education and financial support as a means of ensuring retention of the number of Muslim reverts.

Speaking alongside IERA’s masjid open day event at Taqwa masjid in Blantyre the organization’s assistant country manager Firdous Ulaya said IERA alone cannot manage to combine dawa and ensuring retention of the reverts hence the need for collaboration.

Ulaya cited provision of income generating activities, sheikhs and construction of madrassas as some of the support needed.

He said IERA is implementing various initiatives to motivate the reverts including conducting retreat.

On the two day event which is being conducted under the theme; peaceful existence through understanding, Ulaya expressed satisfaction with the feedback but was hopeful of increase in turn up of people.
