High Court in Malawi vacates MCP injunction
High Court in Blantyre on Wednesday morning vacated the injunction which six senior members of Malawi Congress Party MCP obtained regarding their suspension.
The development came after lawyer representing MCP objected that the case should be discontinued as the complainant counsel Kalekeni Kaphale had no valid licence.
“The defendants made their application later than the recommended two days arguing that the application could not stand,” Kaphale said
But making his ruling today High Court Judge Hiley Potani, discontinued the case saying the argument made by the complainants were not valid.
In his response Kaphale said he will discontinue the case and make new application later in the afternoon.
