Hajat tips govt on development as Malawi clocks 50 years of independence

Executive Director of Institute for Policy Interaction IPI has said government must create good policies and promote grass root aspirations if Malawi is to develop after fifty years of Independence.

Rafik Hajat has said this as Malawi is preparing to celebrate fifty years of independence this coming Sunday. Hajat said Malawi has failed to develop although it has been independent for many years due to among others illiteracy and poverty.

He has therefore asked the new administration to invest more in education.
