Government engages CSO’s on Environmental Management

Minister of Natural Resources and Climate Change says government is planning to bring policies that will help in monitoring Civil Society Organisations CSO’s on forests, fisheries and climate change.

Speaking during an engagement with leaders of CSO’s Owen Chomanika requested them to be accountable and transparent when handling environmental related issues

Chomanika has appealed to the organisations to work together with government in order to address challenges that are currently facing the sector in the country

In his remarks executive director of Coordination Union for Rehabilitation of Environment Cure Charles Mkoka echoed the minister’s sentiments saying will help the sector to reduce deforestation and land degradation
