Government Approves New Chiefs’ Honoraria

Government has approved new honoraria rates for chiefs with effect from 1^st April 2023

This is contained in a letter signed by secretary for local government, unity and culture Esmie Kainja sent to all district commissioners

According to the letter paramount chiefs will be receiving 200, 000 kwacha per month while village heads 10, 000 kwacha

This directive has been made after some chiefs complained that government has not been giving them the new honoraria
