DPP Members attacked in Msundwe

Political scientist Victor Chipofya has urged Malawi Police Services to arrest people who were seen blocking Lilongwe Mchinji road at Msundwe Trading centre on Sunday.

The call comes as reports indicate supporters of Democratic Progressive Party DPP were denied to pass through Msundwe to Mchinji where they were going to conduct a political rally.

Commenting on the development Chipofya said “it is very sad and dangerous to see young people committing criminal offence and authorities doing nothing to arrest them.”

He said barring others from conducting political rallies is a recipe for political violence that can lead to war if left unchecked as Malawi goes to 2025 elections.
