CSO’s petition government
Civil society organizations under the human rights defenders coalition has given government until 7th September to respond to their grievances.
Speaking at a press briefing in Lilongwe executive director, Timothy Mtambo said “the grievances include 145 million kwacha Malawi police food rations scam, firing of Anti-Corruption Bureau director, establishing commission of inquiry into the missing 3000 liters of fuel at ESCOM and using parastatals to siphon tax payers’ money.”
In their later titled civil society and citizens assessment of president Muthalika implementation of 27th April 10 point petition, the CSOs have given 13% to Muthalika administration which means lack of commitment to end the sufferings Malawians are going through.
