British workers unite in largest strike in a generation

British teachers, civil servants, train drivers and university lecturers are holding a largest coordinated strike action in a generation as wages fail to keep pace with soaring inflation.

According to Trades Union Congress the workers need higher salaries.

According to a YouGov poll late last year, 59 percent of respondents were in favour of the education sector striking.
