Over 154, 000 candidates write MSCE examinations
154, 146 candidates are sitting for this year’s Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examinations, which have commenced today.
According to Malawi National Examinations Board MANEB publicist Mayamiko Chiwaya the figure is much higher compared to last year’s 92, 000.
Chiwaya said the examinations will run up until 20th November this year.
“Out of the 154 thousand, 72 641 are female while 81 506 are male,” said Chiwaya
She has therefore reiterated MANEB’S warning to candidates against cheating.
On logistical issues for those invigilating and supervising examinations, Chiwaya said MANEB has already sorted them out.
Earlier educationists warned that this year’s results might be poor due to lengthy school closure and not completing syllabuses.
