Ministry of Health Introduces ECHO project

Ministry of health and population has introduced extension for community health Outcome ECHO project that will help health workers to get support, knowledge and training at their workplaces.

According to director of quality management and digital health in the Ministry Dr Andrew Likaka ECHO will ensure that health workers are always attending to patients.

“Health workers will be getting information at their duties stations while helping the patients at the same time,” Likaka said

He says the project relies on computers and internet which has been connected in all districts across the country

In her remarks, country director of Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation Veena Sampathkumar said the project targets people with HIV/AIDS so that they have information about the disease.
