
DoDMA warns Malawians against selling unharvested Crops
Department of Disaster Management Affairs (DoDMA) has warned Malawians against the selling of unharvested crops to unscrupulous traders.
According to the press statement released, traders are taking advantage of marginalized and vulnerable communities in rural areas in dubiously buying them crops such as maize, rice and sorghum.
The department has therefore, called upon councils and all stakeholders to sensitize and warn communities against rampant and inconsiderate sale of their harvests.
DoDMA further calls upon relevant structures at district level to take on of communities involved in the malpractice so that they are scraped off from subsequent social safety nets.
