Malawi is 79th Peaceful Nation

Malawi has been placed on 79^th in the list of peaceful nations across the globe.

This is according to the 2024 global peace index-GIP.

The report says the world’s peacefulness has deteriorated by 6% over the past 16 years.

It has also ranked Malawi on the eleventh on the list of peaceful nations in the region of sub-Saharan Africa.

The report indicates that Malawi lost over 1.3 billion kwacha due to violence and over 800 million Kwacha due to Economic Cost of Violence
