Uganda landslides sweep away 40 houses
Landslides have swept away 40 houses in Uganda killing at least 13 people but officials fear that the true number of dead is much higher
The landslides triggered by heavy rainfall affected multiple villages in Bulambuli district, about 280 kilometres from capital Kampala.
According to a local newspaper the Daily Monitor most of the bodies recovered have been of children and AFP has reported the death toll could be as high as 30 people.
Heavy rainfall has inundated the East African country for the last few days and on Wednesday, Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja issued a disaster warning
