Chakwera exercises in Blantyre street to clear rumours of sickness

President Lazarus Chakwera has done pushups, running and waving people with all hands in Blantyre streets to clear rumours that he is sick

This has happened as Malawians have been discussing rumours that the president collapsed several times in America, developed stroke of the arm and was rushed to a hospital in South Africa.

Upon arrival in Blantyre city Chakwera was running together with secretary general of Malawi Congress Party Richard Chimwendo Banda

Upon arrival at Blantyre magistrate court the president did pushups with minister of information Moses Kumkuyu then boarded the presidential vehicle

Among other duties in southern region Chakwera is expected to attend a presidential charity Golf tournament at Limbe sports club on Saturday

In his speech Chimwendo Banda criticized democratic progressive party and a social media platform Bakili Muluzi TV for spreading rumours that the president is sick
