Malabada Concerned Citizens demonstrate for Roads

Malabada concerned citizens have demonstrated to force Blantyre city council construct roads in Ndirande Malabada area

The concerned citizens have matched on from upper stadium heading to Blantyre district commissioner’s office where they are expected to deliver their petition

Speaking to Radio Islam after presenting the petition Chairperson of Malabada Concerned citizens Tariq Pongolani gave Blantyre city Council 21 days to respond to their concerns

Pongolani has also requested President Lazarus Chakwera to intervene saying “at some point he visited the area he mentioned that money was available for upgrading roads in the area.”

In his remarks Member of Parliament for the area Ishmael Mkumba said the council should use the money which is allocated in the budget for roads construction

He said in his area five ring roads need upgrading for them to be passable
