South Africans Protest Outside Israeli Embassy in Pretoria
People in South African have held protests outside Israeli embassy in the capital city, Pretoria against abusing and killing of Palestinians
The national governing African National Congress ANC and the third biggest political party, the Economic Freedom Fighters EFF have held the protests in solidarity with Palestinians
ANC Deputy Secretary General Nomvula Mokonyane called on South Africans to boycott imports from Israel in solidarity with Palestinians.
EFF Party leader Julius Malema has called for the closure of the embassy after saying Israel’s government had “no respect for humanity”.
Malema also urged retailers in the country to remove Israeli-produced goods from their shelves by end of October.
Mokonyane also reiterated South Africa’s calls for an immediate ceasefire to hostilities in Middle East.
