John Tembo Dies

Former president of Malawi Congress Party MCP John Tembo has died

Tembo 91 was admitted at a private hospital in Lilongwe for a week

His son John Tembo Junior said they rushed with the ex-MCP leader at night

He said the late Tembo was suffering from pneumonia, malaria and was operated on his foot because of Diabetes

Wednesday morning George Chaponda representing former president Peter Mutharika minister of mining Monica Chayanganamuno were among the dignitaries that went to cheer Tembo

Tembo came from Dedza District  and was a key figure in the regime of former president Dr Hastings Banda
