MDF appeals to Malawians not to sell the country to foreigners
Deputy Commander of Malawi Defense Force MDF Vincent Nundwe has appealed to Malawians not to sell the country to foreigners
Nundwe said this during the commissioning parade of 81 officer cadets who have completed training at Malawi Armed Forces College MAFCO in Salima district
He asked Malawians not to sell passports and identity cards to people from other countries and refugees
Nundwe added that harbouring illegal foreigners is dangerous to the country as some are criminals in their countries
He said what is happening in Malawi in as far as defending refugees is concerned does not occur in other nations and wondered why they are flocking to Malawi not to other countries
Nundwe commended minister of homeland security Ken Zikhale Ng’oma on the relocation of refugees and asylum seekers saying that is in line with laws
The MDF deputy commander warned that “if the tendency of hiding refugees continues Malawi will one day become a danger zone for its citizens.”
He also spoke strongly against reports that some people pay money to be recruited in Malawi Defense Force MDF
Speaking later President Lazarus Chakwera urged newly commissioned officers to be fully dedicated when serving the country.
