ACB stops data collection in districts over illegal enumerators recruitment

Ant corruption bureau ACB has stopped district commissioners from implementing a Unified Beneficiary Registry UBR data collection 2023 exercise because of corruption allegations in the recruitment of enumerators

ACB director Martha Chizuma has said this in a letter sent to secretaries of ministries of economic development and local government

Chizuma says the bureau has instituted investigations of corruption in the recruitment of enumerators in some districts including Chiradzulu

She demands that all districts should not without her written consent proceed with the training and employment of the enumerators, data collection or any activity related to the exercise
