Government re-introduces technical subjects in primary schools

Ministry of education has re-launched technical subjects in primary schools and received workshop tools as well as teaching materials

Speaking during the event minister responsible Madalitso Kambawuwa Wirima says the technical subjects include home economics, woodwork, metalwork, needle work, brick work, indigenous artifacts and technical drawing

Wirima also says the reintroduction of technical subjects will be taught in 34 model primary schools across the country and later rolled out to other schools in phases

She states technical education helps the youth and adults to develop skills and gain knowledge they need to build sustainable life
