Lilongwe Chief Resident Magistrate’s court has adjourned the case of Ant Corruption Bureau ACB director general Martha Chizumato 8th February for plea taking
Speaking before the adjournment one of the defense lawyers Powel Nkhutabasa told the court that Chizuma is in Blantyre working on a corruption case involving Karim Batatawala
Nkhutabasa asked the court to move her appearance to next Thursday or Friday
In his remarks Senior State Prosecutor LevisonManganitold the court that the notice summoning the ACB director to appear before court on Thursday was served on her but she complained about short notice so the State resorted to changing the date to Friday.
Mangani says is surprising that the accused person did not appear in court today
